water tube?

Hello everyone, I need help, thanks for any help. Ok here it is. I am installing a new water pump in my 1990 50 hp johnson model VJ50BELESR . The gomet on top of the water pump is called a Gomet,water tube. Is this the complete water tube or is there another tube coming down from the head because I cant see or feel any tube and looking at the drrawing in my manual I dont see one but everything I read in here talks about this. Is it possible this mold doesnt have a tube?

I think you should have a copper water tube which goes into the grommet when assembling.

Look carefully at where the water tube grommet slides onto in the mid section. It looks to me like there is a "built in" water passage nipple in the exhaust housing that the water pump grommet slides onto.
