Hello.. I have a 1998 242 Cruiser. I've recently noticed that the carpet on the cabin floor adjacent to the bathroom door (lowest level) is wet. I do not run water or have a toilet installed in the bathroom so it isn't anything from the bathroom. Yesterday I lifted the hinged step in front of the galley sleeping space (under the driver's seat) and noticed there is water on the fiberglass bottom under the water pump. Again, I don't connect to shore power and no water in my tanks so it's not coming from anything related..
The one thing that I'm thinking is related to the drain holes on the outside of the hull. They all look identical to the holes in the stern that drain when the bilge pumps. One of the holes seen in the picture has totally lost it's trim and I'm thinking there is water coming in there that would normally go to the very bottom of the hull via a PVC hose/pipe but that PVC is now disconnected and water may be making it's way to other areas.
Likely need to get that repaired. Anyone know what's involved in that? I'm not sure I have any access to those holes from the inside so not sure I can reattach to the hull.. Any thoughts are appreciated.. Thank you..
