Wavy sides and paint runs on new Tracker boats

I was at a Tracker dealer yesterday looking around at various models trying to make up my mind if I want a Tracker or not. I couldn't help but notice the paint runs in some models and the waves in the metal sides on others, some looking more like dents they were so wavy. Is the quality on Tracker boats all like this because they are aluminum or am I being too picky? I'm looking for a fishing boat of good quality and a price that won't break the bank so this is why I was looking at Tracker. I'm going to check out Lund and Lowe boats also before I decide. I like the general looks of a Tracker to get into the shallows and still be able to run them in deeper water with the V-type hulls. But I do have a problem with the quality issues I have seen so far. Any thoughts on this?

Take them for a test drive. I think you'll be surprised at how solid the Lund will ride compared to other aluminum boats. I know they are pricey though, thats why I don't have one, yet!

I just bought a Pro Team 175 TXW. Most iif not all the wavyness is do to the welding of the boats inerds. So far I like the boat and really don't mind that stuff. That is me though.

The wavyness is due to welding as mentioned above. I just sold my 2008 Lowe FM 165 so I could buy my Tracker Targa V18 WT with a 150 Optimax. Lowe makes a fine boat at a very good price. The only problem I had was that they are a little scarce on ammenities. Tracker is not built with quite the eye to detail as far as fit and finish but they offer better prices and more bells and whistles. I had no issues with my Lowe FM 165. Great little boat I will miss it. I needed more fishing room and a more versatile family platform.
