I was told that waxing your boat was a waste of time because the wax washed right off in the water, and the best thing to do was to just polish it and keep it clean. Maybe I was told wrong.

First Daniel-sohn- wax on, wax off :D <br />Actually I do two coats every year. Boat is out of the water all winter. Clean the hull good and apply a coat of Colonite. Best stuff hands down. It aint super easy to get off, takes a bit of work on the first coat, but your patience will be rewarded. I follow that up with another coat right away, don't ask why, I don't know. Launch in late April, haul in November and water beads off the hull. Oh yeah, it's in saltwater,
