we rock the boat

we have a great fishing setup. 20' openbow aluminum, rod holders for 12 rods - downriggers and planer board tower off the bow. So there's rods/nets/equipment all around the gunwale.

SO when we dive for a fish on, we rock the boat. I know it won't tip over, and we do make sure to move to displace the weight... the boat is too big. I wouldn't put four men on one side either. but is there anything we can do to lessen this - or do i just need to get some sea legs and get used to it? I keep on reading about tabs and wonder if they will work.

doubt it. alunimum is more prone to rock, than the heavier fiberglass hull. also hull design a full deep v will rock more, than a semi-V.

We're a deep V... so we're light and deep = more bobbing around. Makes sense.

That's OK - we get great gas mileage with the 4cyl. I'll take the trade-off.

One more thing, tabs can help with many problems, but they do nothing while the boat is stationary.
