We just put a rebuilt power head on a 115 ocean pro 1996 year model and it doesn't fire at times.<br /> We installed a new power pack --no better ---removed the flywheel after we checked out the pack and the stater and disconnected the kill wire . This was done by professional mechanics . We removed the flywheel and checked and remounted the stator , making sure it was grounded. The wiring has been checked out but the spark is irradic and weak. We changed out the battery and even put the charger on 200 amp boost. We then got some fire but it was weak. What unkown virus is lurking in my engine .
