weak spark to 1 cylinder!!

have a 1984 johnson 155 has no spark to 5 cylinders and weak spark to 1 cylinder.not sure how to test anything.
history on it is was running fine.boat sunk at dock.took plugs out and turned over motor to get out water in cylinders.connected portable fuel tank and started her up idled rough at first but after running on muffs for an hour the idle smoothened up.i just did all 3 carbs yesterday.this was done after boat sank.i started it up a week later on muffs just to see if it would start up again.fired right up. a week later i went to take it out in the water and wouldnt fire up.it started for a few second yesterday and for maybe 7-8 seconds today.i didnt change the spark plugs after the water got in the engine.
could that be why im not getting spark?

Def change the plugs.

You may have some corrosion on some electrical connections that is causing the spark problem. Or possibly the water ruined the Powerpack etc.

Check your spark with an open air gap spark tester set at 7/16 " and go from there. You can also disconnect the black/yellow wires from the packs. Spark, boat wiring prob. No spark, mtr prob. Are you in a salt water area ??

no salt water.ok i will change plugs and disconnect the black/yellow wires from the packs.anything else i should test after that?what do i look for if its a boat wiring prob.?

Just make sure to clean/sand all contact points in the electrical system. Only takes a tiny bit of corrosion to break an electrical connection.

ok after trying to start the motor the motor got weak and i was looking at the flywheel when it was turning slow and i could see the magnetos sliding.i just replaced them last year.i also found a little peace magnet. do i need to replace that magent if it s just a little peace?
and how do i stick them back on?the mechanic that glued them on last year didnt do a good job..

They can be epoxied back on. I have no experience on how the magnets need to be oriented though. Someone will chime in with more info for you.

when magnets get loose does the stator usually go bad?i think it might be still good because i had it running for about 20 seconds..

Pull the flywheel and check the magnets before you run it anymore. The stator may not be damaged. Yet.

pulled off flywheel 3 magnets are loose and cracked. the other 2 are still on flywheel are chipped.how ill i know if stator is good?should i just wait untill i put new magnets and see if it fires up??

BRP has magnet kits and epoxy for doing this repair. You can check the stator with an ohmmeter but that's about all you can do until the flywheel is back on to check the outputs with a DVA.

ok i put on the magnets on correct this time and now i get spark on 2 cylinder the middle and bottom spark plug wires on the left side of motor but none on the yop one.on the right side of the motor no spark at all.what should i check?
