Re: weak spark

May I ask how you determined that the spark weakens at this RPM? Did you use a spark tester or what?

BTW, how old is your battery?

Re: weak spark

I'm having trouble with no 3 plug firing. I have managed to get it firing at idle by switching the trigger and stator leads to the unused side of the CD module for this cylinder. When I throttle up it started to miss. I started my motor with #3 plug wire off and a spare plug inserted into the plug wire and had it taped to the block for ground. When I started motor, a clear blue spark was visible and when I throttle up, the spark started to dwindle and sometime not even fire. Did I explain this enough to be understood?

youre coil for the no 3 may be going intermintant at high rpms, thats what id check if trigger is good and you swapped to the unused part of the module and everything is good there it maybe the coil, going open on you.

Re: weak spark

Swap the #3 coil with one of the others and see what happens. Make sure the coil has a good ground.
