Weak stream

Just got a 1998 Yamaha v4 130hp, not allot of hours on the motor, really in good shape fires right up and time really nice. The problem is it seems to have a weak stream of water couldn out of it's pee hole. I've watched a bunch of videos on this motor and all of them seem to have a weak stream. I'm curious if this is a common deal with this motor or maybe a new impellor is needed. Any response would be helpful, thank you

I really do not know how hard of a stream it should have, but do you know when the water pump was replaced last or what shape it is in?
if not replace it

With any new to you motor, do all the maintenance

New water pump assembly, new thermostats, new fuel filter, new plugs, gear lube change, trim pump oul change, lube all zerks, etc

Most likely the impeller is shot

I know it had just come out of the shop for maintenance and the guy used it twice this season. He seemed to take pretty good care of it and the boat. It's only $50 for a new impellor so I think I'll just go that route. Better safe then sorry since it's heading to the ocean
