in between the top of the leg and the powerhead there is some kind of plate attatched to the leg side what is this a zinc? mine is corroded a little and made a hole in it what does this do should i replace it?

Anthony, On my 6 Cyl inline, there is an exhaust extension casting between the powerhead and the midsection. This aluminum casting "captures" the upper motor mounts. There are two exhaust ports, with a divider. Sometimes the divider is a bit rotted out. Also the cooling water passes through this casting, just behind the driveshaft.

mine has rotted a hole through it will this affect my engine?

Anthony, That plate is about 2" thick solid aluminum. Is the hole north-to-south, through the thick aluminum, or between the two exhaust passages? If it is between the two exhaust passages, it is a common occurance which shouldn't make any difference.

i pulled this thing off and it has two tubes on it i think one is exaust and 1 is impeller the one which i think is impeller is a thin pipe and thats the side with the hole in it which i think is bad

If the hole is in the water jacket portion - you'll need to replace it - or get it welded to hold water again.

ok then i guess i will have to use my spare then that sux because i just had it all apart and now i gotta do it all again damn

is the water jacket side the one with the small tube exiting it?
and the other one the exaust side?
