Weber Carb rebuild problems

I've got a 1996 Mercruiser 350 Magnum with a Weber (aka Carter) 4 bbl carb.

I'm in the middle of disassembling it for a rebuild and have run into a problem.

While trying to remove one of the primary metering jets my screw driver slipped off and has screwed up the top to a point that I can get it out. I've found a source for a new metering jet but I have no clue how to get the bunged up one out of there.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Those jets are soft. You could try a left handed drill bit. Hopefully it'll break loose.

Ayuh,... use a very small Easy-Out...

Cool. I kinda had a feeling an extractor was what I need. Is there anything I should try to do to loosen it. That sucker is really tight.

Ok New problem. Any suggestions on how to remove a broken easy-out from a stuck jet and then remove the stuck jet?
