You just hate that echo something fierce, huh?...
Jimr is right ya know... A torch, some bail'n wire, a little duct tape, and a old spare prop of something, anythings possible...

If the shaft straightening don't work... try a minkota plastic prop. I bet the drag on the prop would out-weigh the torque capability. It would be an annoying sounding trolling motor.

Bob

thanks all.. yeah it would be noisy..

i like to take my floatin' lawn chair in the mitey susquehanna river at connowingo dam hydroelectric plant .. it's the first dam in,, off the chesapeake bay.. mucho stripers hang there cause it's a smorgasboard when the turbines run.. which is pretty constantly in a/c season..

fish of all kinds walleye , jumbo jumbo 90 lb cattys,,tiger musky,, even sturgeon an of coarse,, it's smallmouth haven..

boats can't get where i wanna get .. it's way to rocky.. the current can be alittle swift at times when generating..but not too bad on this side of this mile wide river cause it's BOULDER city..

a supplimentle power-prop mite come in handy..

belive me fellas,, i gotta go fishin' here.. cause no one can get a real boat up there..

IT'S CALLIN' ME IN A MAJOR WAY..

My little brother used to power his boat (14' allum. v hual) with a weed eater, never looked at how he mounted the prop. It wasn't fast but he got there, that is if there was not to much head wind! He would buy any weed eater he could find at yard sales, seem they dont last to long doing this.

And watch out for the currents!

I can imagine some awful thing happening with a homemade outboard mounted to a floating chair...I think I'd use only a plastic prop!

-dd-
