I'm going to the scales soon.
Do I want the weight with the tongue on the scale or do I want the tongue off the scale?
I can weigh the tongue at home.

Go to a truckstop when it is not busy, and tell them what you want to do. Put the tires on one platform and the tongue on another. They will give you the weight on the tires, the weight on the tongue, and the total weight.

If you haven't been around many truck stops look around for an older trucker and ask for a hand. Most of us extend help to each other. That way you can get it weighed without any problems. Wish more people would weigh their trailers. Seen alot of problems with overloaded trailers out here this year. Best of luck.

Re: Weighing my boat and trailer?

My boat and trailer weighed in at 700 pounds. The tongue weight is 125 pounds.
I am replacing the old short bunks with longer ones and will be moving the boat back about 12 to 18 inches. I have 2 anchors, two spare tires and a battery that I can move around to get the tongue weight where I want it.
