Weight difference 82 115 rude-96 150 ocean pro

I need to replace the 1982 115 evinrude and dont want to add too much weight.Anyone know the weight difference between this and a 1996 150 ocean pro?????????charlie

charlie,<br />the 115 weighs about 280 without trim and 300 with,the 150 is about 375, so your lookin at about a 75 lb diff.

crazy charlie, I have a 1986 140 eninrude on a 17 mako, it also has a jack plate and angle bracing to handle the weight and power differance. the motor with jack plate and bracing is over the line, the stern sits low(* about 2 inches below the normal water line on the stern. The boat is strong the only down side is in reverse wirh any waves cause the water to go over the transom, drains asap in foward. It does a heck of a whole shot however. The motor has been on the boat for about 6 yrs. good luck but I think the 150 might be a be much! You can e-mail me @ dcolpitts@austin.rr.com
