For the last 3 years I have a reddish/yellow discoloring on my vinyl seats. It increases in size and intensity following cleaning and the only product that takes it off is Davies DC 99 cleaner. I tried many many other products after reading marine boards. All others do nothing, but when sprayed with this the area get bright yellow and drips off the seats. I am then pleased, scrub the seats clean, then use a vinyl protectant hoping I have solved the problem, only to have it come back. We leave the boat tied at the dock and usually don't cover the seats during our short Wisconsin winters. Cabin photos 052.jpgCabin photos 053.jpgCabin photos 054.jpg

Any ideas? It is white marine vinyl and we do have tamarack trees that color or lake water a similar yellow/gold color.
It's gotten to be so time consuming to manage we are considering re-upholstering or trading.
HELP!

Welcome aboard cindyloulou. The coloring may be leeching from under the vinyl since it keeps coming back. I have no solution, just thinking.

Welcome aboard Cindy Lou. My guess is the Tamaracks are the culprit, but your issue notwithstanding you really need to cover the boat when not in use. Try this; clean them up again, cover the boat, then check later for new spots. By the way, I didn't know Whoville was in Wisconsin.:p;)
