Weld this steering bracket??

Had the boat up North this past weekend and motor was running great, pushed the 14' boat very nicely. Got back to dock and as I was raising motor...CRACK! The steering bracket broke from the tiller connection almost all the way to the front of the casting. The picture shows detail. Is welding this an option??

I would take to a good aluminum welder if I needed it right away and a quick fix. Then I would shop e-bay for a replacement.
