I've been lurking around the past year or so, and posted a couple times about project boats I was looking at. Seen about a dozen of them, some better than others. Some really, really bad. Today I drove a couple hours each way to pick up a 57 fleetform, though I'm thinking it may be a 58 really.
It's just a shell really, with a trailer. No trim or windshield but about half done sanding it down. Also is completely legal and registered, both the boat and trailer. Was willing to pay a bit more for that, as I've heard some horror stories of ending up with a 500lb paper weight. And most boats I've seen around here either had no registration, or did and were priced way too high.
Tomorrow or Monday I'll be checking the stringers, the seller swore the boat is solid but I've been assuming they'll need to be re-done.
And my garage is happy to not be empty anymore.
