My 1980 15ft fiberglass Kingfisher sprung a leak on Saturday. Guess it had to happen sometime. More of a drip, really. Ran some water in it Sunday and, as suspected, it's coming in around a plastic thru-hull fitting near the bottom of the transom. It's a live-well fill pump, looks like probably a DIY job at some point in the boat's history.

I have to assume that water has been infiltrating the transom for awhile before it finally started coming into the boat.

I hate the thought of sitting out the rest of the summer, not to mention working in 100-plus degree weather during August, so I'll seal it with 5200 & tackle it this winter.

Just needed to share with someone; thanks iboats.

jtw
