does anyone have any experience with the 2003 wellcraft 190 excalibur sport?? or any wellcraft in the y2k era??? I am looking to purchase one this weekend and am wondering about your knowledge

Something is not right about this being a '03 Excalibur. The last year for the Wellcraft Excalibur bowriders was '02. And only a few were built. Wellcraft still builds fishing boats this small, but they are not labeled "Excalibur". If this is really an '02 Excalibur, then I would expect a deep discount. the invoice from wellcraft states it is a 2003, hmmmm I think I should ask some more questions... I am however getting a steep discount on it..... list is 19500 and i am getting it for 14300, if it is a 2002 i think the price is still far .. what do you think??

Here is a page from Wellcraft's own web site listing all Wellcraft models for '03. Note that there is NO listing for any Excalibur -<br /><br /> Wellcraft Site Map<br /><br />The usual way to determine the year for a boat is the last 2 digits in the HIN (Hull Indentification Number). Here is a thread on using the boat's HIN -<br /><br /> how do I tell the model of my boat??? <br /><br />That price sounds nice if the deal includes a trailer and 4.3L motor. Not so good for the 3.0L. The only way to know for sure is to find some other '02 leftovers to compare $$ with. The Excalibur price level should be roughly the same as an Ebbtide, Larson, Maxum, or Stingray.<br /><br />Unless Genmar has done a marketing flip-flop and is putting the Excalibur back into production, this boat is the end of the line for Excalibur. Be very interesting to hear your dealer's story on this!<br /><br />Kelly

it has the 4.3 with the volvo penta drive, We are going on a sea trial this saturday.... I thought the price was pretty good... thank you for the info I will check the hull number when I get home from work again thanks a million!
