Hi guys, 1981 wellcraft nova 11 twin 350's through prop exhaust. I got a real good deal on exhaust center rise mamafolds and I plan on changing the exhaust from the log type used on older mercrusers to center risers. I was wondering if I would run into any problems using the old thermostat housing? I think that only a re-rout of the water hoses would be the problem. If any one could give me some advice would be great. Thanks Buz

Ayuh,.... We're gonna need pictures, or a serial number to know exactly what ya got...

Does it have the check-balls,..??
MC-1 drives, 'n water pumps,..??

There's also various different riser to manifold gaskets, that could be used, that matter....

You'll likely need a new style t-stat assembly to feed water one way into the manifold, up the riser and out. Old style has water running into manifolds, back, then into risers. Convert, it's less complicated. Plus, if manifolds were corroded t-stat assembly is not far behind.
