I've been browsing this forum during my lunch break and so far I'm quite impressed, and glad I found this place. I'm a first-time boat buyer not necessarily looking to break the bank or go all out on something crazy. Just something my and my fiancee can enjoy. She came across this on her companies ebay-style board and emailed me. Problem is I'm having a hard time researching this particular model because I can't find anything similar that looks like what's shown in the picture.

I need a foundation to start from and would like some feedback on whether this is a good, bad, or mediocre deal and specifically what I should look for if I decide to go and take a look. I tend to do hours of research on something before purchase, but when it comes to boats, I'm just not sure where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Wellcraft Purchase

Looks nice, a 17'? Maybe 18'?
Price doesn't look too bad, NADA has pricing info you can look up. I'd see what other similar models are selling for on boattrader.com, boats.com, iboats, etc.
Make sure you do a sea trial prior to purchase.

Re: Wellcraft Purchase

I would highly suggest a professional survey on any used boat. It could save you thousands...
