From my other thread , i decided to move forward and if anything do some hands on repairs to work a new floor . My boat has only one stinger and had foam against the stringer that came out about 6 to 7 inches. The wood i removed was 3/8 , which didn't seem thick to me . I wanted to add some ribbing for deck support and planned to just use foam inbetween the ribs .
I went to a local marine suplly store to get some prices and start picking up a few things . A salesperson asked what i was trying to do , so i started to explain . He said i should just install foam back and 3/8 decking would be fine , just bring the foam so the deck also sits on it . He then said if i really want to add ribbing , Don't glass the ribs to the hull itself , use foam under the wood where it touchs the hull then glass.

Now iam lost on should i just do the foam or ribbing . Looking thru posts on here i see all the ribs glassed down , is that what i need to do ?
