I replaced the old tired mercruiser 228 chevy 305 with a good used mercrusier 260 chevy 350 in my 1977 24' sea ray for a bit more power. Will I need to do anything in the outdrive its self? I know I may need to change the prop.

Nothing in the drive needs changed. Same gear ratio for both engines.

Just did the same engine conversion last year on a 20 ft. crestliner crusader , no drive changes necessary , just your prop and I like mine:D

You should notice a better hole shot and better up on plane time.
