I have a 35402 West Bend. It was running fine until I blew the head gasket. The lower cylinder seems to be low in compression now - 30psi, while the top one is at 80psi. Could I have broken a ring(s)? The motor won't run now. It fires but won't stay running .

The head did have a little bit of a dip between the cylinders. I milled it flat (within .002") Perhaps I might have to try another new gasket. Reed valves all look good; could the puddle drain valve or crankcase seals have been damaged when the gasket blew?
