Hi All, Hoping someone has some famaliarization with the older Westerbeke 4.5's.

I'm working on a family members Westerbeke. I have all the original manuals, service manual, Factory troubleshooting guides and doc's from other members who were able to test components to isolate faulty components.

We finally got it to self-Govern. It was not adjusted correctly. The Sympton now is no AC output, couldnt find AC anywhere and the breaker is on.

My question is almost basic....The front "board" behind the removable cover, according to the doc's is all DC regulation stuff. It matches my schematics etc...I have a point-to-point troubleshooting guide with resistance measurements for the Rotor, Stator windings 1&2, Capacitor and diodes. WHERE EXACTLY ARE THE TEST POINTS FOR THESE?

I was hoping I could at least test these components from this Front panel...But apparantly not. Do I have to take the end of the Gen unit off? Didnt seem to be anything to come off there, on a cursory look.

I have an Electronics background and can certainly Test these components easy enough, But havent worked on these units before much. Just need to know If I have to get access to the rear of the unit.

Funny, all the docs, guides, schematics show these "points" and expected Values, but not where they are located.
