Wet Bruise in hull below water line seeping water through antifoul.

Wellcraft 28ft, 1987. lift out on weekend for winter found wet spot below water by 2", 2ft before transom.
Water was seeping out gouged it with screw driver superficially. Below gelcoat fiberglass weave saturated in an area of near to 3? diameter. Need best plan to make repair. This time of season or to wait until spring for mat?l to dry out some?

Gain access to inside of hull, check for further saturation, dry out affected area with a portable heater if possible, repair affected area when temps can be maintained at recommended levels for repair materials.

I'd get the bad spot dried out as soon as possible to prevent freeze/thaw delamination... repairs can wait if need be.
