As you all know my painting of my boat in 2 part is finished. I have a question for anyone who has ever worked with 2 part paint ( pref. on a boat)
I'm tossing up between leaving the paint as it is ( nice ) or wet sanding with like 2000grit and buffing with a machine and compound of some sort. What are the pro's and con's of both? Anything I should really look out for?

cheers

The responses to this one should be interesting! Kinda like the buffing gel coat questions!

Some specs on the paint would help...

Tengals that looks so good why do you want to start messing with it? I say leave it alone for a month then just coat it with wax.

Tengals, try and get lubedudes attention, he'll know (I think).

From my limited knowledge, you'd want to wait a few weeks for it to dry rock hard before you touch it with paper.

Aldo

Hey tengals, hows it going? I don't think you can get all ten gals in that boat at one time, so just make 5 trips with 2 at a time.. :D :D . That is one beautious boat you have built..as for sanding and buffing the paint, I have done it with imron only to get orange peel out of it, some may dis-agree, but I think you will shorten the life of the gloss by sanding and buffing. my question is, why would you want to?? it looks great as it is.!!!!
