Wet starboard storage compartment inside aft cabin

We own a 2000 Doral 300SC. The starboard storage compartment inside the aft cabin is constantly wet and we cannot seem to figure out where the leak is coming from...... wondering if anyone else has had a simliar issue and figured out how to resolve the problem?

Not sure how the 300 differs to mine however I had a similar issue after the carpet at the well at the top of the companionway went missing.
If yours is the same, stand at the companionway and look along the gap the door slides into (runs right through to the starboard hull behind the helm). At the far side you should see a drain point. I have seen 3 of these so far that have not been correctly fitted at factory level. All you need to do is pull the drain out, clean the silicone seal and redo it properly. When not fitted correctly the water runs down the outside of the drain into the cabin instead of down the drain and into the bilge.
