Reelistic,<br />I had the same problem. I read the post on the forum reference to this and bought a Dol-fin whale tail for my Evinrude 88 Spl. This unit is 2 piece and the others are 1 piece. As DJ suggest, the trim tabs are the way to go also, guys with larger boats swear by them.<br />Do a search on the forum and read the responses to trim tabs.<br />The 88 Spl is on a 22 foot Lowe Deck Boat. I can now plane the bow down at lower RPM's with the tail on the motor than before it was attached.
