Good evening everyone. The 92-95 force 40 sounds terrible with an Odd clicking noise. Fuel is fresh and ethanol free, bulb is firm, fuel pump is strong, no bubbles in any line (clear tubing) filter is new. No fuel leaks. rebuilt the carb and even got that drip we all know about to stop. Fresh plugs and wires. Stator, trigger, switch box, voltage reg, and coils all bench test within range. Even changed the port covers for fun. No leaks that I can see, the trash can filled with water is even clean, the carb does not spit fuel mix at me, I’ve ran her at night looking for sparking, poked her with a stethoscope, tach works like a champ, I cant get her to idle under 1200. I know the wiring is horrid, but that is how she came to me. I’ve included a brief video with audio for you laughter and enjoyment. Thanks for listening, I also have The 91, 92-94, and 95 force Manuel’s. I’m just stumped.

I’ll upload a new video tomorrow, however. The timing was way way off. I’ve readjusted the timing by this procedure, Unplug Wires, ground wires, removed plugs, fixed carb to Wot position, Connect light to plug wire 1. Crank engine (Aprox 800-850rpms) Prop was on and the engine still in my tank of water), adjusted the timing mark on the flywheel (30 btdc) to be directly inline with the timing decal. It’s a non adjustable timing light. Looks like a big flash light. I also adjusted the tower, at idle to be 10. Started right up, definitely will have to readjust the carb. Tomorrow. My procedure I believed will be to idle till warm, shift into forward gear, keeping my trash can filled with cool flowing refreshing hose water, mmmm mmm good. And turn that screw left left left right right curse left right start drinking right right left.
