So I had a piston rod go, and in the process took out the oil pan, block, and cam. I replaced the engine with one I got from a donor boat. I've disassembled the old engine, and was trying to figure out everything I should keep.

List I know I should keep,
-Manifolds
-Exhast riser
-Heat exchanger
-Timing cover
-flywheel
-coupler
-Head
-I'm sure there is more I kept can't think of at the moment.

Is there any reason to keep pistons, rocker arms, crank shaft?

Just looking for input. Then I need to figure what I should try and hold on to, and what I should just try and sell.

Engine internals are readily available, and even I don't carry a spare piston around. The manifolds and heat exchanger are tough to find/expensive, so you could sell them. I have a spare engine, outdrive, carb, manis on hand--I'd rather just throw in a spare and fix what's broke at my leisure. You should keep or sell everything that bolts onto the engine.

Pistons and rods are Ford parts, no need to keep them, the crank, if it is in good shape, if you have the cam with the stud (not the bolt) holding the impeller on save the impeller and stud. Save the rotor off of the front of the crank, and if your water cooled voltage regulator works, save that. I would save the distributor and slave solenoid.
