what and how to paint a non skid deck thats looks like a golf ball

My deck has a non skid surface that looks like a golf ball, can this surface be painted? Its white and I want to go back with white but dont want to make a mess of it either. What type of paint would be the best for a deck that WILL get walked on Thanks Jamie
