I ran into a problem while removing my old junky Transom assembly mount and Gimbal. The junky units have Trim senders. The unit I have to replace them( a Transom assembly came with the motor I purchased) do not have Trim senders. What are my option?

You don't have to have trim sender or switch to raise/lower the trim. If you want them then you need to get a transom assembly with them, or replace the gimbal ring with the one you have.

Guess you could also replace the pins and maybe drill holes and tap for screws, assuming you do have the hole for the wires on the transom plate

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... Sounds like yer swappin' ole MC-1s, with older MC-1s,.....

Like AD said, you can try swappin' whatever parts it takes, or get newer transom assemblies,.....

Personally,.... I use neither the trim gauge, nor the trim limit switch,......
Don't need a gauge, 'n my trim switch goes up, or down, full range unless ya let go of it,.....

Ayuh,..... Ya got 2 threads goin',... Yer rebuildin' the motor, 'n the transom is Shot,..??

Why, oh Why don't ya scrap the ole MC-1, 'n Ford, 'n drop in a 350 Chevy, with a Alpha 1, or even a late model MC-1,..??

Yer pretty much startin' with nothin',...... Not goin' Chevy is just nuts,.....

Houston I have a problem. I forgot that I redid the dash with all brand new Faria gauges.to include trim gauges, with new in, out, up down toggles! it sucks to me right about now. :) This rebuilds at about 700hrs. sometimes I forget, all I've done.
