Okay, going to look at another boat tomorrow to potentially part out.

It's a 1989 Wellcraft eclipse 186 and seems to be in pretty good shape condition wise, but the motors locked, boat hasn't been used in years was running prior to sitting.

It's not a starter, even with a bar on the crank it won't turn. If the motors locked from sitting are there any odds of freeing it up and having it running again? It has a 4.3 V6, or is it being locked up the last of its life? I know there's many variables. If not I will part it out, I currently have a 89 chappral on stands being parted out so that's not an issue. But if I can get it running and sell it as a whole unit that'd be ideal.

Long post but just want to know if it's locked that = junk

Pull the drive first. May not be the motor.

Put some penetrating oil down each spark plug hole. Let it sit a few hours.

Check the oil
if its way high the sump is probably full of water to the point of the crank being in water instead of oil. That could be fatal to the engine.

If it is the engine seized up and not the drive it's junk. Part it out.
