these pics are from the bilge area behind the engine its a 1986 celebrity 180. These drains are almost at the very back of the bilge area. I poked a screw driver in them (there is one drain on each side of the bilge area) and it seems solid on the other side like they have been fiberglassed shut. any insite?

Hard to tell from the perspective of those pics, but I think they're just the drains that would let water from the front or mid of the boat and under your deck to run out to the bilge. So no water gets trapped under your deck....that's all. They don't exit though the transom do they? Just inside the boat? If so....they're like I said.

They dump into the bilge, not threw the transom. like I said if I shove something into them they become solid, should I run a drill bit down them and open them up?

"if it aint broke dont fix it" is what i normaly live by, expect this is my first boat, its been sitting unused for a couple years. I have yet to put it on the water, so I dont know if it is broke or not...........just doesnt seem right that the drains are there but closed off.

They may have a bend in them that makes it seem solid when a screw driver is inserted.

so would it be safe to say that these drains come from the area under the deck, where the foam is?
