What are these holes?

The starboard side of the lower end near the water intake has two small 1/8 inch holes. They are perfectly round and when the ears are on and the motor is running they are pi$$ing out water. What are they there for and should I plug them up?

The factory put them there.-----Don't plug them.-----Leave them alone !!

Ayuh,.... Those are cavity drains, so that they don't freeze, 'n bust out in the winter,....
