What are these? Propped trim tabs or for trolling?

Hi, I'm new with boating and just purchased a Grady-White. While searching around looking at other peoples Gradys to gain ideas and upgrades for mine, I came across this post. I noticed his trim tabs had props!?! Are they an alternative for trolling or for stabilization under power? I tried to find a set for sale but only come up with traditional trim tabs. Heres the link where i found it..

the props don't touch the water at speed... they are a combination of a regular trim tab and an alternative to a conventional trolling motor

good rig for larger boats that troll a lot. But I wouldn't have them on a moored boat where marine growth is an issue.

How big is yours, what hull style and where and for what will you use it?

A friend of mine installed a pair and really didn't care for them. Not big enough for open water trolling and they didn't work as well as your typical bow mounted trolling motor.

those my friend......are minkota helm controled gps programable trolling motors/trim tabs.

the mount on each side of the boat.....and at speed are trim tabs.

in the down position's while fishing

the can hover in a current......run a programmed course. or just be joystick controlled.

those little buddys are fantastic.......really spendy....but well worth the money if you like toys.
we have a campion at the shop for sale with a pair....

during the pda of the boat .....the minkotas were actually used to dock the boat !

they need to be matched to the size of the boat.......but if you fish.....they are just what the doctor ordered

That would be cool to have a boat that could hover a spot, very cool.
