My 07 Monterey 250cr is getting a 12v TV. I know where I am mounting the TV but I don't have an arch for the antenna. I am thinking it will go on the front rail some where. Not sure if I need a power antenna or not.

I am wanting to put in an inverter so I can run the microwave and make a pot of coffee. I am going to get all the stuff but I am going to have a friend install it who is an electrical engineer.

What are you doing to your girl to make life better on the water?

I am going to install a new stereo system and maybe replace my carpet with either gel or that roll-on truck bed liner.

Full resto of the floor & stringers. Add some fabrication to the dash area to make it look a little more modern. Audio upgrades to incorporate my iPhone.

Trying to figure out a way to incorporate an iPad into the captains display for engine read outs, real time weather. Stuff like that.

Well see if any of it happens!! Lol

pull the engine and add about 50-60hp. clean the bilge and remove the plethora of old transducers. add a few storage lockers and a built in cooler, not to mention a rear anchor locker. A few power outlets and courtesy lights in the gunwales. fix the trailer brakes.

Oil pressure and temp alarm and new riser gaskets, maybe clean up some messy wiring behind the dash.

Re: What are your winter up-grades?

Big maintenance year for the 20 year old Formula 242SS . . .

1) Engine refurbishment (Valve job, Timing chain, New manifolds/Risers, re-paint)

2) Bilge Refurbishment

3) New Depth Sounder

4) Outdrive Paint job

That should keep me busy until spring. . .

Much of it is/will be documented on my web page (link is in my signature below)

Well, it would have been new graphics and some new paint 'round the window frames. Since I am just about within 72 hours of having the Sacarab no more, my winter project might be driving to see my new boat being built.

:) Or, if it doesn't work out as planned, my winter project is trying to break out of a mental institution while waiting.

I put the smart tabs on my Wellcraft. They worked out real well and helped with all around performance.

Light year this year - Fix the selectrim motor, check the cooling system on the ole' straight six and tack down some of the deck fittings a little tighter (maybe replace a couple).
