I bought this Glastron a week ago and am wondering what year and model it is
This is my first ever boat and it will need some work before it is ready for the water. I am going to replace the stringers and floor Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: What boat is this?

Well, I'm going to be completely useless to you on any real help, but wanted to let you know I almost bought the exact same boat as that one. I too am a first time boat owner this year. It was sitting on the side of a very busy road in front of a house in the city I live in for like 3 years. Seemed like every time I drove by the price came down a little. It was older than I wanted, but the price was right & it would get me on the water. Well the day I said "screw it, I'm going to buy it", it was gone, guess I waited too long. I think it was a 1976 & it looked exactly like yours. Good luck with the floor replacement, (mine will be done over the winter), MAXX

There are a lot of brochures online at fiberglassics and vintage Glastron website. I had a coral blue and white 1969 16' much the same as yours. The model was a Swinger V176 or V177. Cant remember, one was an inboard and the other an outboard. Great boat but neglect finally got the best of it. Ran a 100hp Merc on it and it would get along around 33 mph with the family in the boat.

Check here to narrow down your search.

Edit: As you repair your boat I would devise a way to drain the hull more effectively. My bilge drains were about 4" above the bottom of the hull. So it would take quite a bit of water before the hull would drain into the bilge. And the holes were very small so they plugged with foam and any water that got into the hull almost never came out. Such was the fate of my center stringer (much like yours).
