what brand oil to use in a 1955 evinrude fastwin 15hp?

what brand of oil do you use in a 1955 evinrude 15hp? do you use semi-synthetic/synthetic or just mineral? is Pennzoil XLF marine oil a good oil to use in it? any suggestions appriciated

Any oil marked with the TC-W3 designation is acceptable and you need to mix it 24:1.

ok thanks hidef!! and i know the manual says 24:1 but with the oil now a days can you get away with 28:1-32:1? or is that bad for the brass crankshaft

I would stick with the factory recemendations, just to prolong the life of that classic. Just remember, oil is the cheapest thing you'll put in your engine and it will prolong the life.
