I have an opportunity to purchase a twin carb intake and 2 carbs from a volvo aq151 for $200. Tack another $60 for carb rebuild kits. I currently have a single barrel carb on this engine. This intake setup will fit on my motor. If i put a twin carb setup on my boat, what can i expect to see/what would i notice in a difference from my current setup?

Well, first of all, what does the engine have on it currently? What size is the engine? what size was the engine the aquired parts are coming from? Bigger and/or more carbs do not necessarilly mean the boat will run better. Higher flowing carb(s) might increase the top speed a small amount, but most likely reduce acceleration and low end torque. If the cam, heads, exhaust system restrict the engines ability to breath more or bigger carbs will usually result in an overall performance drop

It's been about 21 yrs since I was in Kingston. Beautiful spot. Nice people too.
