Looks to be about a 1956 or so .Most likely a 2 line tank(pressurized).Do you have the model number? Those are great little motors ,no strike that ,there the worst motor ever made but to show you how nice i am i will save you and take it off your hands, lol:)Check the fuel plug by the throttle arm if it has 3 barbs it,s pressure 2 its vented ,maybe some body retrofitted a pump all ready. Also depending on the exact year they like lots of oil.24:1 ,32:1 or so just off the top of my head.My 56 likes (30 hp) 24:1.

1954, or 55, I think a 55. If in sound condition, they are great little engines. That look's like a very nice one.

Yep, the others are right. Post the model/serial number on the metal tag and we can be more specific. If you're not at least half as old as that outboard, you have to send it on to one of us geezers...just kiddin.

1955. Last of the green paint ones. Takes a pressure tank and cannot be converted except by micky-mousing it. Keep it original and you will keep the value. If you take care of that motor and do any repairs by the book without skimping, it will last another 50 years. Dink around with repairs and you might get a year out of it. If it hasn't been used in the last bazillion years, it needs some work. Coils and water pump for sure.
