Was that a web site you listed. I did try it and couldn't bring up a site. The engine was green. Do you have a paint mix recipe for that?

the tiller handle is grey. It was separated from the engine and is in really good condition. I'm thinking the exhaust leg and lower shroud are grey??

Didn't look the number up but is it a 1971 Johnson 40HP? The hood was white, the leg was green, prop white,Seeing Evinrude and Johnson parts are interchangeable,I'd guess you have a cannibalized outboard part of both,But if the eng.# came off the plug on the motor that should be the motor,I believe there is no difference between evin. & John.except colors.Tiller handle was green also on johnson, bluish green evin.

I also will add the color of the powerhead was the color of the whole motor with the exception of the white hood and prop.

I ended up taking a piece of shroud into the local paint shop and they matched the colours. Done!
