Re: What deal(s) have you got shopping for used boats!?!
Hello, I recently bought a 1988 Yamaha 6hp for $175.00 Including the tank, and it runs great. A few weeks ago I found a 1959 12ft Alumacraft for $50.00, the Yamaha pushes it fine!! Also a few weeks ago found a 1966 evinrude 18 hp fasttwin for $25.00 that runs but is showing its age. Some months ago I found an old Merc mark 58a for $50.00. it runs but needs a control unit. Today I just came home with a late 50s Lone Star with a great vintage look and I hope to put the MK 58a on, O yea the boat was FREE, and its not trashed to bad at all. When you are basicly poor, a good deal is the only way to get your boating stuff, without good deals I would be sitting home watching fishing shows or fishing from the shore( which ain't all bad that bad) if I had to buy from a Marina all of the stuff that I have just listed I would have spent a whole lot more money. I'm not against a marina making money, but I just dont have the type of money that they want for there used stuff. I love a good deal!!
