Today is 21st, everything seems normal as usual.I think I did something stupid last night.

Last night, I put 40kg bread and 20kg flour, some kinds of meat and snacks on my inflatable boat, 200litre water was also loaded. I prepared some lithium batteries which can support my LED light more than 15 days.

My AQUOS had been blowed up and TOYOTA works well, their oil tanks are full enough , everything is ready to go.

Well, if there is nothing happening today, that experts' *** should be kicked!!!

Anyway, tell me, guys, did you do something to face the rumor? May be not so much as I did.

I remembered that Bill Gates, who might be smarter than a Mayan astronomer, only had his calendar work until the end of 1999. Even PC's stayed alive past then.

Hold on guys, we still have quite alot of the 21st left and I don't remember a time attached to it so it could still hit the fan, don't put your zombie kit away just yet.

This will make the 7th or 8th "end of the world" I have lived through so I really don't take any of that seriously, if it does I guess I don't have to go to work anymore.

They simply stopped incementing the calendar. Mayan calendar sales were way down 'cause, well, how many customers needed a 2500 year calendar? Once the last calendarian retired, the Calendar Continuation Division was eliminated.

There was talk of reviving it for the overseas market when the Spanish 'tourists' arrived, but things didn't go so well...

Experts?

Being as the Mayans didn't predict the end of their own world too well, I don't see much reason to take their word for it.

The Mayans didn't predict today to be the end of the world either. It's just simply the last day of the large cycle on their calendar. Kinda like our new years eve. What happens when our calendar ends? It starts over. So does there's.

I went to Progreso, Mexico earlier this year and visited some ruins. The mayan tour guide gave us the whole run down, and said they are very happy to have the fame and money coming in!

Edit: Oh yea to answer the question, I drank too much just in case!

Re: What did you do for the 21st?

I woke up to the loudest thunder I've heard here in as long as I can remember. House shaking, windows, pictures, etc. I thought nothing of and went back to sleep. Heading out to do some shore fishing in the rain in about 30 minutes.

On the 21st, I went to work. My kids made gingerbread houses with their 4th grade big buddies, did a subtraction Santa puzzle, sequenced writing on building their gingerbread house, watched a Christmas movie during their party, and packed up all of their Christmas items to take home over the break. Smooth day all around.

This "end of the world" was a lot less crazy than the New Year's Eve 2000 "end of the world". I'm glad. Watching the news and I haven't heard of anyone doing anything stupid yet.

I didn't do anything but a client of mine was very proud that she got to use the "hey baby, what do you think, it's the end of the world" pick-up line on her hubby.

We threw a big party at our private club The Black Shamrock in New Smyrna Beach. Fun was had by all, even had entertainment flown in from Colorado.
