My son asked me to get a tatoo for fathers day with his name on it.....Dont get me wrong, I love great art work and I dig fine tatoos but I have never felt like I wanted one so I decided not to get the Tat. He was sad so I thought for a bit and decided to get myself a drum set for fathers day..........................No I dont play the drums.........He does

I have a video of him playing his brothers set 2 1/2 yrs ago on my shout life page ( At the bottom)

I will be recording him again real soon now that he has his own set and can practice ( He has been without drums for about 4 months)

Just a card. My little guy's Mom is a good Mom and tends to spend her extra funds on him, so I am fine with just a card. He is a bit shy of three, so its all good to him - the card provides as much excitement to him as anything else might. We went to see Kung Fu Panda and then went to dinner with my friend and her son. All in all, a really great day!

I paid for my fathers fishing license and am going to pay for the bait and get a new troller battery for our local troller only lake and take him out for a while this weekend and possibly next if nothing comes up. No card just a simple fathers day and the plans made were enough for him to appreciate it and thats all i care!

I got to see my eldest son get married on June 14 (flag day). He is very patriotic, so my wife contacted our Congressman and arranged to get an American Flag flown over the US Capitol on flag day, and should arrive soon. We got him a flagpole for his "new house". Then on father's day I took my wife to Wolf Trap amphitheater in Virginia to see Boz Scaggs play some blues. Great ending to a perfect weekend. I was happy to get cards from my wife and kids.

Funny you mention the tat. I spent F day with my family while the wife spent hers with hers. My brother does a little tattooing and was going to put my newest childs name w/a rose on my dad. Medical problems prevented it so here my brother sat with his trunk of stuff all ready. On my right arm I have my wife and girls. Lisa, the wife, is a cherry/heart combo. Tyler, the first born, is a heart w/ roses (along with "Daddy's Girl" ). Stephanie is the second born and claims to be a princess and always has. She has a princess wand. Gracie who just turned 8 weeks has a nickname I gave her- Bug. Somedays shes doodle bug when she squirms too much, water bug when taking a bath because she loves it, cockroach when she wants to cry, anyways you get the picture. She got a ladybug with a heart as its big spot.

Was going to go boating, but me oldest girls dog (14 years) was and is not doing well at all so we all stayed at home and enjoyed the day with each other,my youngest and I did take in a movie later in the day.Yep the dog is still with us but she does not move much we carrier her everywhere now,oh how I dislike this part of being an pet lover but she is in no pain

Got to go to dinner at a top restaurant with the LOML and the parents of my son's fiance, then a day and evening with herself and my son and granddaughter. Priceless quality time.

Got a great book, The day the world ended at LITTLE BIG HORN, by Joseph Marshall III. Highly recommend it to students of Lakota life and the battle. Marshall is Lakota and tells it from a Lakota point of view.

Also got 1.75 liters of Chivas Regal and several priceless cards.

Congrats on a great day, JB. You always post beautiful things about your family...
As for myself, my GF and I haven't been fortunate to have children, as of yet, but I live 500 ft. from my dad, and I see him every day of my life,(unless I'm working nights).#1 Farrier in Canada, as recognized the the World Farriers Association. Its nice that the Farriers of Scotland, England, and America thought him worthy of furthering their trade of therepeudic shoeing.
His 6 kids love him alot!

got my dad some Central Connecticut apparel.. both him and my brother went to uconn. me and my mom are going to central.. but he never had any ccsu apparel.. now he does.. .


All the dads in the neighborhood seemed to be doing work for the wives that day.. one had to break oup the sidewalk in front of his house for a new path she wants.. my dad was making window boxes for my mom.. there were others too

I'm not a father but I'll tell what I got my father. I got him a norelco shaver, he has been having bad luck with shavers.

He got his tractor stuck while bushhogging so I did my best to try and get it out by myself after work but I did not succeed Although I did move the tractor from one spot and still was stuck after all that work. Later on he got the tractor out (he borrowed his brother's backhoe) and then he got the tractor stuck yet again the next day.

I scheduled to take my dad to a local stock car race Sat PM but it was rained out and postponed until Sunday afternoon. That evedning, my kids surprised me with an awsome 26" electric powered remote control boat.

Went to church in Sun. AM and all dads got a frozen T bone steak. Then to the race track to watch some great racing andne then back home to play with my new little boat.

............a GREAT fathers day.
