Powerhead numbers on top of my block read 326100.
I have been told this is a '82 55hp commercial and the parts I order seem to fit. Anyone with books can give me a definitive on the origin of this block? Thannks for you time.

326100 looks like a part nr. We'll need a model nr. to determine the year and hp. Look on the top port side of the engine for a welch (freeze) plug. It may have the model nr. stamped on it.

c/6
Hooty

326100 is the casting number of the block. It could be used for several model motors from 1979 to about 2000. The 326100 casting was (is) the one most guys racing a 45SS wanted. That particular block seemed to be capable of some extra rpm compared to other castings.

What kind of parts are you trying to order?
