The rescue squad I'm on uses one as a rescue boat. It works well. Doesn't need mush water to draft, holds up well, and is stable as any boat out there. For a small lake, river, flats fishing boat it gets my vote.

I understand they're a good boat. Some people prefer Sundance skiff or Polar among other choices. ;)

Down in Flamingo, Ten Thousand islands I do alot of fishing and I see them all the time. Hidden up in the creeks I often hear boats but never see them, you can always tell a Carolina skiff, there is a characteristic sound as I think there is a air layer under the bow. Again they are very popular so they must be doing something right...Mark

Nice Boat, Well Build, but it, like all similar type skifs, will give you rough pounding ride in even light chop.
If you're heading across the bay to get to that "sweet" fishing spot, make sure everything is lashed down, as it will get pounded pretty hard.
That said, They're a really great boat for skinny water. The best part is that cleanout simply requires a hose with a spray nozzel :D

Nav.

Nice boats for the money. BUT- they have a serious tendency to 'side slip'/'loose' the stern. With the low kneewall and high seats be darned sure you have a kill switch connected to you and the motor. Also, rough water gives a rough ride. Apparently they've come out with a newer model with slight V; this should help both problems.

Been swimming....

if you hit a wave wrong you can break the floor very easily these boats are made with no stringer system so they are very weak for the same money you can get a polar with a stronger floor you can trust me on this ive seen several cases.
