Ok so, after 2 months of work, i finaly got my boat on the water for a test ride.
It's a Sangster 17 ft with a 1982 Evinrude 115 hp with a17x13.5 prop, wich i think is a bit slow (but torquy!). All the speeds are gps mesured.
here's what i got: 42mph at 5800 but between 5600 and 5800, there almost no difference of speed. At 5000, 33mph. It comes out of the hole like a bat outa hell, at least i think so. Sangster are fairly heavy boat plus i was carying quite a bit of fuel in extra jerry cans. here's a link n you tube. Excuse the language, i was very exited. You wouldn't think i'm 48. I'm with a young friend from work, Steeve. Test was conducted on the Fraser river near Vancouver.
Edit: prop is S/S.
