What do you guys use to clean the plastic carbs on the V-6 Loopers?

The factory service manual says to use isopropyl alcohol and a syringe. It say not to SUBMERGE the carb or parts in strong carb cleaner, but would it be okay to clean the individual parts with carb cleaner and compressed air?

We use (OMC / BRP) Engine Tune.
